This simple, full-color, enameled white rose lapel pin represents one the of the few German resistance groups that spoke out against Nazi genocidal policies. The group was formed in 1942 by Hans Scholl and some of his medical students. Also involved were Hans’s sister, Sophie, Christoph Probst, Willi Garf, and Alexander Schmorell. Though their accomplishments seemed small, creating a few anti-Nazi pamphlets, their simple acts proved there were those, even inside of Nazi Germany, who were willing to speak out in defense of the Jewish victims of the Nazi regime.
