Triangle Art Mezuzah
The Torah states that every doorpost in a Jewish home should display a mezuzah klaf, a small parchment scroll inscribed with two prayers. The scroll is enclosed in a case and attached to the right doorpost to serve as a reminder of the covenant of faith and as a notice of an observant Jewish home.
This custom ceramic mezuzah was created by the artist Rosanna. The art is based on the system of colored triangular patches devised by the Nazi regime to identify and segregate prisoners inside the concentration camps. The art also includes a representation of the yellow star patch worn by Jews outside the camps. This design, according to the artist, reimagines these symbols of oppression in a kaleidoscopic rainbow of strength, solidarity, and hope. Each piece honors those imprisoned for their identity and celebrates their life. The mezuzah has an open back and comes in a custom gift box.
Also available with a 2.5" x 2.75" kosher scroll.
