It was made by a young girl in the camp and bought, as Sala said, “as a remembrance by my children … and my husband, for a slice of bread which meant a day’s hunger in Bergen-Belsen.” \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe family was liberated by American troops while on an evacuation train on April 13, 1945.
